Hope Day Center

Design for a local non-profit, seeking to assist the unhoused of Carlsbad, the Day Center is fitted to provide meals, restroom & shower facilities, laundry, social services, addiction counseling, job training & placement, financial literacy, as well as serving as extreme heat/cold shelter as needed. The design is based upon a basic 40x80 metal building, which the non-profit had already sourced. The layout attempts to locate all core services in the first floor, while reserving the second floor for conference space and administration offices. The site plan for the facility takes advantage of the property shape by providing areas for connected outdoor social and dining spaces.

The non-profit is currently fundraising for the project and we hope to see it underway with the coming year. s
